A GAME CALLED BIRDS: TAWNY SESSIONS
Birds, as it’s colloquially known, is a new Australian board game hatched in Nipaluna/Hobart in late 2024. It’s a feathery frenzy of strategy, sabotage, and sheer luck. Dreamed up on a bushwalk gone a bit cuckoo, the game pits players against each other in a race to 80 points across a treacherous board where only the sharpest birdbrain survives. It’s a real flight of fancy, featuring 70 stunning species — including all 12 of Tassie’s endemic birds.
Come along to learn the pecking order on Monday, then wing it at the tournament on Tuesday. It’ll be a flocking good time.
