Step inside the Eco-Cave, a multi-sensory world of music, movement and visual art that holds at its core one of humanity’s most existential challenges - modern climate change. 15 musicians of the Lutruwita Art Orchestra, along with our creative collaborators, have been making new work that asks hard questions and explores ways of building collective resilience, hope, and action in the face of climate collapse. In this rare opportunity to peek behind the curtain, you are invited to see (and hear) our workings. Pop in throughout the day, or stay with us the whole time, as we present our works in progress, ahead of the final presentation of Eco-Cave at Beaker Street Festival in August 2027. Your presence on the day will help to play a vital role in shaping and developing our work.
Rituals to carry our grief and connect our spirits. New anthems to call us to action. Connections of Samoan and Palawa understandings of moon cycles. Dances to evoke Antarctic ice and whale songs. Musical and projection art reflections of slime moulds, ocean swells, and rhizomatic growth. Collective improvisations through sound and movement. Quiet musings on the lifecycles of fresh water eels.
