Get ready to krill out and party hard this World Krill Day, as we plunge into a night of shrimply irresistible fun. We’re talking a kriller live band (HK and the Rear Admirals, playing all your favourite hits from the deep), zooplankton-inspired cocktails that’ll have you swarming the bar, glowing deep-sea projections, and DIY costume stations to help you unleash your inner crustacean. Plus, the Australian Antarctic Division is rocking up with a tank full of live krill, and the scientists who study them. Come dressed to impress—there’s a prize for the most krill-iant outfit, and bonus points for bioluminescence. It’s going to be a shell of a time.
This event is generously sponsored by ASOC - Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition, with additional support provided by AAD - Australian Antarctic Division, WWF Australia, and City of Hobart.
