Tasmania’s coastal waters are home to a remarkable native seaweed with the potential to dramatically reduce methane emissions from livestock, turning this humble marine algae into a promising climate solution.

During this visit to Sea Forest, you’ll learn more about Asparagopsis’ role in combating climate change, see the company’s research and development facility, and discover how it is working to commercialise Asparagopsis at scale. You’ll also learn about Tasmania’s giant kelp restoration efforts, and take part in hands-on activities with native seaweeds to create your own cyanotype print to take home.
