Insect Pinning Demonstration
6 - 7pm, Salon Gallery
Check out the World of Butterflies exhibition, and catch a nightly demonstration of the art of pinning insects with TMAG's Dr Cathy Byrne.

Insect Dissection
7:30 - 9pm, Central Gallery
Join one of the world’s leading moth experts, Dr Cathy Byrne, as she takes you through a large-scale projected insect dissection. Includes interludes of live musical accompaniment.

Fossil preparation 
5:30 - 8pm, Earth and Life Gallery
Fossils are windows into deep time. Find out how museum palaeontologist, Dr David Hocking, prepares fossils and unlocks the mysteries they contain.

Marine Parks Australia
5:30 - 9pm, Islands to Ice Gallery
Australia’s system of marine parks is one of the largest in the
world. Meet Parks staff and learn more about the wonders of these crucial ecosystems.

A deep dive into cold water biology 
5:45pm and 6:45pm, Islands to Ice Gallery Theatrette
TMAG’s Dr Kirrily Moore will be presenting video footage from recent Great Southern Ocean research trips. See amazing underwater video and get insights from those responsible for underwater image capture.
